Well... iBot Networks & Communications has been around for 10 years now. We are well known in Minneapolis as iBot Networks. We where a company that would get you set up with the new (at that time) DSL service. We pretty much installed networks and controlled a few servers. With this much power and bandwidth available for us to use We started one of the first primitive online radio stations known just as "iBot". Our logo was just a smiley face (if i can find a copy of it I will put it up). As network setup became more mainstream our focus started on web development and deployment hence iBot Networks '& Communications'. iBot Radio was what succeeded out of all the services we provided. As time continued bandwidth cost went up and iBot Radio was out of business. Free Radio online seemed like a thing of the past - and well it is 2007...and it is still here. Still under our parent name, iBot Networks & Communications, introduced WQPJ Studios, in the fall of 2005, broadcasting under Part 15 of the F.C.C. Rules, Q107 was born in Racine, WI. After a few months on air we decided for a format change and we changed our name to 1071 the Cue with the famous tag line 'It's What I Want'. It was a huge success in the area, with the largest variety any station in the area had to offer.
In the summer of 2006 the Skippy and Skyler Show was born offering a lot of fun, information, and also a pod cast (which can be found on podshow.com & www.wqpj.com) As the summer roared on we made a new game plan for our station... MOVE... Racine was really not our target audience and felt the station would get more enjoyment in a city where true variety was wanted. Thus, 99.7 MAX fm was started, Milwaukee's True Alternative. For those that did enjoy us in Racine still can... With new servers and a blunder of hosting options in our new location we offer 2 streams, one hosted at 48k for people on dial up or with laptops that do not mind a lower sound quality, and the other hosted at 128k for those on broadband and nice stereo systems.
