Altos Moevas started in 1997, in Tijuana B.C., Mexico. Back then, we had many friends who were musicians and played a number of different instruments so we began inviting them to play at our gigs. These performances became live jams and improv sessions in which musically speaking, many great things were happening. It was during this time that we found the inspiration we needed to create Altos Moevas. The idea was to bring the same vibe and energy of the live sessions into the studio to make an electroacoustic sound based on improvisation and continuos experimentation. The sound of Altos is an eclectic fusion of electronica, acid jazz, pop, and rock among other things. Although we have both been a part of other musical projects, Altos Moevas is a fairly new project that we are happy to be working on. Our purpose is to get our music out there for all of you listening audience, wherever in the world you may be.
