The Man Named Kokokos: Kokos is short for Kokokos. Kokos is a very good and dear friend of ours. We met him when we were working in the various adult shops around Vancouver. He used to get paid six dollars a store to clean up the peep show areas. Cum, piss, shit... you name it. I never heard him complain, and he always did the best job he could. One time when I was working at an Adult shop in downtown Vancouver, I noticed Kokos had a bloody wrap of toilet paper on his wrist. He had startled an intravenous drug user who poked him with a needle and ran off. I told Kokos about the cocktail shot but he carried on with his work as usual... Kokos was pron to getting pneumonia, so he spent a lot of his time in the hospital or stuck in bed. He really got sick and was diagnosed with - edited out of respect - Kokos later found out, with the help of his sister, that his war bride was living in Milan, working in the fashion industry. Kokos hadn’t seen his bride for thirty-seven years. He kept true to his vows out of respect for the ways of his parents. He wanted to see her but he was afraid she would not recognize him. In the end he couldn’t afford the plane ticket to seek her out. The last we heard he had moved into subsidized housing. We don’t know how to get a hold of him anymore.... “Maybe one day you and Sandie could start a band, and name it after me? ... This is Kokos
