Agée de treize ans en 2003, Woody, d’origine zaïroise se lance dans le milieu musical principalement sous l’influence des artistes locaux mais aussi de ceux de la Jamaïque. Après cinq longues années de travail en solo, cette jeune artiste de reggae dance hall fait son apparition aux yeux de tous avec son premier street album Zion Child, produit par Kèrty Jackson. C’est aujourd’hui une trilingue confirmée étant donné qu’en plus du français, elle chante en anglais et a appris le créole seule en écoutant les paroles des artistes locaux qui ont su fasciner son oreille.
When she was 13, Woody, who is coming from Zaire started in the middle of music thanks to local artists and also Jamaican artists. At the end of 5 years working alone, this young reggae dance hall’s artist is coming on the stage with her first street album called “Zion Child” produced by Kèrty Jackson. Today, she’s a true trilingual person because speak French, sing in English and learnt Creole by herself listening lyrics of local artists who knew how to keep her hears’ attention.
