I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Do you run a marathon, half marathon, 10K, 5K or any other distance to raise awareness about social issues and emergencies? Are you combining your run with fundraising for non-profit organizations?
This page is to discuss the motivation, races, training, non-profit organizations and fundraising strategies. A big welcome also to swimmers, cyclists and those who practice other sports for inspiration.
What worked for you? What did not work? Share your success stories so that other people can benefit from your experience. And don't forget to post a link to your fundraising page.
Join the:
Run for Inspiration MySpace Group message board
to share your stories and hear from others.

A marathon fundraiser (or other initiative) by itself will not solve the problems, but combining all the actions that people take, at different levels and different fronts will steadily resolve these issues..... one by one, step by step.... we are much more powerful when we stand together.
So far I have completed 3 marathons: Honolulu, San Francisco, and Sacramento. Read more about these experiences in my blog:
Sacramento Marathon - December 2, 2007

Honolulu Marathon - December 10, 2006:

Keep running, and have a beautiful day!
