A Step Away

This is how it started
A Step Away was formed in Joensuu Finland 2007. It took a while to get the things started but when the project was launched in early spring it was soon quite obvious that it would lead to this kind of outcome; an audible version of ideas and thoughts, memories and dreams.
There is not that much to say about the history of the band at the moment, only that we are making one as this is being written down. But as the days turn to weeks and weeks in to months so turns the present to the past. Now only thing to do really is to work hard and hope that the past will turn out to be a great one someday.
Here's why
For us, the most important thing in music is, that it provides something that touches you from within. Something that gives that uplifting rush of lightness of a being. Or the melancholic beauty of longing. And at it’s best, makes you want to be forgotten in the very minute. We hope that our music could give you tiny bit of those feelings. That it could give you something to hold on when world doesn’t seem so warm and cosy.
But the music is never complete. It’s like making a colouring book. You keep sketching the frames, but the picture is not ready before someone gives the colours to it. That one would be you.
