Those of you who thought bands had stopped making decent original rock music - Think again. Frustrated at the lack of any good old fashioned rock 'n' roll, Whiskey Trick broke open a few bottles of JD and cranked up the Marshall amps, blasting out quality music and bringing back the lost art of rock with no perms or lycra catsuits in sight. This is rock the way it should be!{}I made this myspace background at BackgroundStation.com

Whiskey Trick, hailing from Bangor, featured Markus - Lead Vocals, Andy - Lead Guitar/Backing Vocals, Chris - Rhythm Guitar, Steve - Bass and Gruffman – Drums provided us with 5 ‘proper’, snare busting rock tracks - Stuntman, Sound Destroyer, Recoil, Rats culminating their set with a superb cover of AC/DC’s Highway to Hell, which was the perfect vehicle for Markus to demonstrate his vocal talent. Throughout their set, bass and drums were perfectly synchronised, with some lovely interplay between lead and rhythm. A really good set from a band who’s website proclaims – “This is rock the way it should beâ€! - - - Panic Promotions, 2009
Now when the lineups were announced I did a bit of research and checked out all the bands I never heard of, Whiskey Trick were one such band. I have to admit I wrote them off on the stregnth of there recorded matieral and due to the fact they were up agaisnt a couple of tough draws. My opinion changed quickly when I heard them play. Considering they were 'outsiders' they managed to hold the crowd once they finally formed, right up untill there closing and simply mint cover of Highway to Hell. However I do have a few cons to throw into the pros mix. As pointed out by my racism loving, dog hating friend who shall remain nameless, Only in chorus's did the lead singer take full advantage of his impressive voice. As my dear old nan used to say 'if you got a big dick then fuck' its outbursts like this that led her to be put in the home but Whiskey Trick would do well to learn a bit from the wise, foul mouthed filth mongerer. Also i couldnt help but feel that they were 'too sexy for their shorts' when looking at there guitarist and bassist (10 points to anyone that gets that reference) If you don't mind the passing resembalance to 90s Gay as badgers pop though, and you do enjoy well preformed and polished rock then theses boys are for you. - - - Wasted (see friends), 2009
