Band Members: DJ Ping Pong, who has since changed his name to DJ New Human, started DJing when he, Kevin Parkinson and Greg Braden formed the 'Section 47 Sound System' in their home town of Cambridge. Section 47's first party was on the day of the 'Criminal Justice Bill March' in the summer of 1994, a new government policy to prevnt 'free parties'. 1000 people enjoyed the warm night at Granchester Meadows, dancing till dawn. This set the stage for a year of regular notorious free parties at numerous locations around Cambridge. After three arrests and a 3 month confiscation of the sound system, they eventually started holding club nights and inviting guest Dj's to perform at 'The Junction'. He has also DJed on the dance stage of the annual Cambrisge 'The Strawberry Fayre', where over 10,000 attend.

This led to the 'Starbug' events that was Cambridge's first psychedelic trance club, with guests such as Mark Allen, Cosmosis and Shakta. He has performed at 'Return to the Source', 'Escape from Samsara', 'Astral Phoenix' and played at trance events across the UK and in Portugal, Israel, Australia and Greece.Two tracks were released in collaboration with Shakta on Phantasm Records - 'Between the Nothing' and 'Starbug', that also appeared on numerous compilation albums. Shakta and Ping Pong then released a track on Choci's trance label and have a yet unreleased track that was due for release three years ago!He now DJ's in his home town of Glastonbury at events with OOOD, Transient Dreams, Voice of COD, Dream Machine, Mark Heley, ZubZub, Liquid Djems and Paul Didge. He has recently formed the 'Avalon Psy-Trance Collective' and is booked to DJ at the 'Boom Festival' in Portugal in August. Contact him at [email protected] and 01458835211.
