I'm an author living in San Francisco. My books are the novels The Year of Fog and Dream of the Blue Room, and the story collection The Girl in the Fall-Away Dress. A new novel, No One You Know, will be published in 2008. The Year of Fog is currently in development with Newmarket Films . Read an excerpt here.
I grew up in Mobile, Alabama and moved to San Francisco from New York City nine years ago. Until recently I taught in the MFA program in creative writing at California College of the Arts, but I've decided to take a few years off from teaching in order to write full time. I am currently at work on a new novel, which will be published by Bantam.
