Though he studied music with Grammy award-winning arranger Johnny Allen (Motown, Isaac Hayes) and played with the likes of The Deadstring Brothers, The Mood Elevator and Brendan Benson, AK's kept his own songs to himself. Those songs - written and recorded in the wee hours, on the floor in his low-lying home studio - have been a constant distraction, a long-lasting preoccupation, and a wholly private enterprise.
