I am here for Dating, Serious Relationships, Friends and Networking

About Me

You can just call me awesome, awesome-sauce, or awesomeness incarnate...I sort of like that last one the most. The idea is that I am so unquestionably far beyond the realm of badassery(and, arguably, modesty) that a new descriptor must be created to adequately define who I am.I enjoy overcast days, reading, philosophy, creating, arguing, learning new languages, [insert random verb here], the company of my good friends(you know who you are), sushi, and most inclement weather...because I refuse to take the time to tediously transcribe all of the various aspects of my personality into words for the general populace, and on account of the general scarcity of time, the list will end there. Great, I'm glad you understand. Send me a message if you're so inclined.-Corey

My Interests

Interests? All things interesting, I suppose.

I'd like to meet:

Show some personality and we should get along famously. Otherwise, I cannot guarantee anything. Sorry...

Music:

Everything...and then some. Here are some of them, in no particular order: David Byrne, Talking Heads, Joanna Newsom, Rush, Led Zeppelin, Toadies, The Flaming Lips, Tom Tom Club, New Order, Aphex Twin, Boards of Canada, Portishead, Parliament-Funkadelic, Bark Psychosis, Depeche Mode, Broken Social Scene, Eisley, Pink Floyd, The Zombies, Beyonce, Duran Duran, Danny Elfman (Oingo Boingo), Jay Z, Air, Vivaldi, Queen, Kanye West, Chopin, Mozart, Black Dice, David Bowie, The Velvet Underground, Alanis Morissette, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Yoko Kanno, Echo and the Bunnymen, Janis Joplin, Gackt, Nouvelle Vague, The Cure, Cake, The Doors, Bjork, Squarepusher, Strawberry Alarmclock, Tripping Daisy, Blind Mellon, Bob Marley, Live, Death From Above, No Doubt, Soundgarden, Rolling Stones, Brian Eno, Jimi Hendrix, Nine Inch Nails, Cream, The Turtles, Sly and the Family Stone, Kevin Shields (from his work on the Lost in Translation soundtrack), My Bloody Valentine (what I've heard of it), Alice in Chains, Blondie, Bauhaus, Dresden Dolls, The Eurythmics, Ludacris, Dat Politics, Prince, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Pearl Jam, The Format, Weezer, Wild Cherry, Polaris, Reggie and the Full Effect, Men Without Hats, Interpol, At The Drive-In, She Wants Revenge, 311, Lady Sovereign, and Sublime. Well that was fun.

Movies:

In the name of progress, and also since the previous movie list was too much of a narrative, I have taken it upon myself to revamp this list, and hopefully by doing so, will make browsing easier. User friendly? Why the hell not? This is an incomplete list of some of my favorite films. Look for changes every now and then.True Stories, Un Chien Andalou, Shaun of the Dead, The Breakfast Club, Waking Life, Magnolia, Rules of Attraction, Reefer Madness: The Musical, Boogie Nights, What the Bleep Do We Know?- Down the Rabbit Hole, Ferngully, Ten Items or Less (I love practically any movie with Morgan Freeman), Stop Making Sense, I Heart Huckabees, Sanjuro, The Wall, Elephant, Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon, Thank You For Smoking, Dazed and Confused, Little Miss Sunshine, Billy Elliot, et alia.

Television:

There's a lot of it out there, but if I had to mention some, Doctor Who, Yo Gabba Gabba, Posh Nosh, and most televised comedy would be at the top of the list. Older television such as Sanford and Son are also wildly popular with me. Oh, and don't forget to mention the Sifl and Olly show. It's totally crescent fresh.

Books:

Here's a basic overview of some of my favorites: The Coldfire Trillogy- C. S. Friedman, Lives- Plutarch, A True Story- Lucian, The Lord of the Rings- Tolkien, House of Leaves- Mark Z. Danielewski, The Sword Polisher's Record- Adam Hsu, The Catcher in the Rye- J. D. Salinger, and practically anything by Terry Pratchett. I relish every opportunity to catch up on my reading.

Heroes:

I have cut down the 'Heroes' section drastically, as it seemed to go on and on without any real destination. My heroes include, but are not limited to, Katy (my little sister), The Doctor, David Byrne, Sifu, Immanuel Kant, Linda (an old manager), Oscar Wilde, et alia.

A Letter from Hell

One thing that not many people know about me: I love religion. I will often visit services randomly, from all creeds, simply to enjoy the atmosphere. Now, that's not to say that I'm a very religious...

A Rude Awakening and Digital Waffles

Salvete omnes!I awoke this morning, abruptly, on account of a harsh rapping on my door.  I gazed around the room for a split second, still in a slight daze from my newly interrupted sleep, made n...
