Cortney Robinson is a 24 year native of Clinton, LA. He was introduced to music at the early age of six. It was around this time when Cortney began to sing songs like " Blessed Assurance", " I won't complain", and " His Eye is on the Sparrow". Cortney joined the school band and began playing the trumpet at the age of 12. While in high school, he was appointed trumpet section leader and band captain. Cortney continued his schooling and became a bandsman at Southern University and A&M College in Baton Rouge, LA. While in the the band at Southern, he was the featured singer at many football games including a New Orleans Saints game. Also while in college Cortney connected with a few people that would lead to many doors to be opened. Cortney starred in the gospel musical stageplay " The Garbage Man", which was narrated by Tommy Ford from the TV series " Martin". Shortly afterwards, Cortney's connections allowed him the opportunity to become a background vocalist for Gospel/Soul artist Lisa McClendon. At this point he decided to make a major transition to Atlanta, GA. While in Atlanta he has sang background for major gospel artists such as Ted and Sheri, Darwin Hobbs and Vanessa Bell-Armstrong. After years of training and experience in the field of music, Cortney is ready for the world to receive him as a solo artist.
