Marco Burggraf

Marco Burggraf was born in 1983 in Bitburg(Germany).With the age of 8 years he began playing drums with Martin Schaefer as his teacher.From the age of 12 he was playing in local musiccorps and with 13 he started playing in differnt bands(Wirus,New Compaint,Overdose Life,.....)and many other projects.With the age of 18 he joined the american band 'Second Face'.With this band he was playing many shows till they broke up in 2003.At that time he had finished school and his social services and so he moved to Trier to study padagogics.Shortly he found out that this wasn't that what he wanted to do,so he applied for the Conservatoty of Luxemburg to study jazzdrums with Rainer Kind(Michael Holm,Matthias Reim,Guildo Horn,....)During his studies he became a member of the belgium coverband "Crossing",with which he is playing now since 2005.At that time he was also sessioning alot with other bands/musicians.In 2007 he had enough of playing jazz so he did an audition in the popderpartment of the conservatory in Amsterdam where he is now studying with Oscar Kraal,Eric Hoecke,Ruben van Roon and Jonas Filtenborg.Over his carreer he played hundreds of shows also recordings like f.ex.:"Overdose Life "(1998),"Second Face" (2002),"Fragments of the Behemoth"(2006 or 2007),"New Pets On The Block"(2007)"Rob meets Haeger"(2008),"Klopje Popje"(2008/2009) and alot of studiosession of which you can hear some in the player here.He recorded in 2005 a Live-DVD with "Crossing" on a show with alomst 10,000 people.In 2007 he was the drummer for the Belgium Gospelfestival which was broadcastet on television.His current projects are "Crossing"(Coverband/B),"Klopje Popje"(Doperock,NL),"Rob meets Haeger"(Germanrock,D),and in a short period you will also be keeped posted about"The Tales which are not supposed to be heared by people"(workingtitle ,Rockband,NL)and a Electro-Live-Act called" No-Fi Riots" with a bassplayer from Germany.As well there a plans for new recordings and hopefully shows as well with "Fragments of the Behemoth" and of course "Paraphernalia" and .....
