Gran Jefe

Grupo formado en 1994/95, de poderoso directo, graba su único CD "Bip, bip, aquí la Tierra" en 1998, editado por Rock&Ríos Records, CD que se ha convertido en CD de culto del rock en español, tanto por su calidad como por su dificultad para conseguirlo... mal que comparten tantas buenas bandas en pos del creciente deplorable sistema discográfico...
Integrado por 4 músicos, reconocidos, queridos y respetados en el panorama musical español y fuera de nuestras fronteras (Argentina, Chile, México, Costa Rica...), todos y cada uno de ellos. Rápidamente contar que Jaime Asúa (voz y guitarra) ya fué en los '80 fundador de emblemáticos grupos: Alarma (junto a Manolo Tena), Cucharada, y mas tarde, en los '90, Llámalo X, últimamente integrante de la banda de Joaquín Sabina, y en estos momentos girando con Carabina 30/30. Ramiro Penas (batería) quien fué fundador e integrante de la mítica banda de rock español "Leño" junto a Rosendo Mercado, y después, de Llámalo X. Osvi Grecco (guitarra-coros) guitarrista y colaborador de artistas como Luz, Ana Belén, Víctor Manuel, Miguel Ríos, Fito Páez, Andrés Calamaro, Pedro Guerra -Hijas de Eva, Vidas...-, Jorge Drexler -Frontera-, Burning -acústico-, Rosendo -invitado en el tema Menamorao del disco "La Tortuga"-, Palabra de Guitarra, José Antonio Ramos, actualmente Ariel Rot o Manolo García, entre muchos otros... . Y Rafa J. Vegas (bajo-coros) mas que conocido también como el bajista de Rosendo desde sus comienzos en solitario hasta la actualidad. Además de estar presentes en interesantes y diversos proyectos, colaboraciones, producciones... individualmente o como "Gran Jefe". Todos ellos con sobrada experiencia y rock&roll en el cuerpo, como para hacer lo que quieren y saber lo que hacen! Desde aquí, gracias a los "Gran Jefe"!
About GRAN JEFE : This Spanish rock band was created in 1994/5 and is known for its exciting live performances. They recorded their only CD, “Bip bip, aquí la Tierra” (Beep beep, Earth calling) in 1998, which has become a cult classic of Spanish rock, both for its quality and because it is so difficult to find… a problem suffered by so many good bands making their way in the ever more deplorable recording industry…. The band is made up of 4 musicians who are all renowned, loved and respected on the Spanish musical scene and in other Spanish-speaking countries (Argentina, the home country of Osvi Grecco, México, Chile, Costa Rica…). Briefly, Jaime Asúa (vocals and guitar) was in the 80s the founder of several emblematic groups, including Alarma (with Manolo Tena), Cucharada and later, Llámalo X, and recently he was a member of Joaquín Sabina's band. Ramiro Penas (drums) was a member of the legendary Spanish rock band “Leño” with Rosendo Mercado and Llámalo X too. Osvi Grecco (guitar/backing vocals) has been a guitarist and has worked with important spanish and argentine artists such as Luz Casal, Ana Belén, Víctor Manuel, Miguel Ríos, Fito Páez, Pedro Guerra, Jorge Drexler, Andrés Calamaro, Ariel Rot (today), among many others… and Rafa J. Vegas, (bass, backing vocals) also well-known to everyone as the bass player for Rosendo since his beginnings as a solo artist through to the present day. They all have enough years of experience and rock and roll in them to do what they want and to know what they're doing! From here, a big thank you to “Gran Jefe”!
