One look at Penny Jae's summery blonde looks, and you understand how as a young beauty she landed a modeling job with the prestigious John Casablanca agency while barely out of high school. But one listen to her big, evocative voice, and it becomes obvious that there's more to Penny Jae than just a great publicity photo.A small-town Christian girl raised in Mogadore, Ohio, Penny Jae's dreams always seemed to center around the world of music. She would sing into her hairbrush, pretending she was Trisha Yearwood or Mariah Carey or Reba McIntire. She sang lead in her church choir as a child and appeared singing solos in school since elementary. "Music was always my dream," Penny jae says. "I've been singing for as long as I can remember. I used to imagine that I was famous while singing on stage. It has always been natural for me."To pay the bills she worked retail by day and sang at Karaoke bars doing contest by night! She sang in Canton with a local band on weekends and recorded her first demo at 17 years old.She eventually came west and worked for Dimples Karaoke bar and club as a Karaoke host while working on her second demo that was produced by Ross Vannelli. Ross Vannelli is know for his work with Jeffrey Osborne, Jennifer Holiday, Richard Marx and his brother Gino Vannelli. soon she was in the studio, creating her demo backed by an army of top studio musicians from Nashville and Los Angeles. With four songs penned by Ross and top singer/songwriter Judy Rodman, whose credits include her own No. 1 country hit UNTIL I MET YOU, as well as LeAnn Rimes' chart-topping ONE WAY TICKET, the result is more than simply Penny Jae's dubut. It is a marvelous showcase for Penny Jae's unique vision of seamlessly blending country and pop."I love all music" she says. " I grew up loving Trisha Yearwood, Wynonna, and Reba but I also loved Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston.
