The New Daytonasâ„¢

The New Daytonas were a Long Island Rockabilly band which existed from 2007 through 2008. The band members were four musicians of some local renown: Gil (bass, vocals- www.myspace.com/gilmclean); Todd Lee (guitar, vocals- www.myspace.com/toddrlee), Tom Grecco (guitar, vocals- www.hackensackmen.com) and Frank Mediadi (drums- www.hackensackmen.com). Playing a circuit spanning from Manhattan through Suffolk County, the band's energy and enthusiasm for Rockabilly was evident from the first note. Due to circumstances beyond the band's control, the band only lasted a year, but it was a year of twanging guitars, shimmering harmonies and a tribal thunder surf-a-billy beat that set the toes-a-tappin’.
