The Chicago Local Organizing Committee (ChiLOC) for the National Hip Hop Poltical Convention aims to use Hip Hop as a tool to organize, educate, energize and engage the hip hop community in the community empowerment process through a combination of grassroots activism, economic self-determination, civic and issue eduaction, voter participation and cultural inspiration.
Our goal is to create an environment where individuals and organizations collaborate to address community issues and concerns; thereby increasing a spirit of collaborative accountability and responsibility for the conditions and quality of life for Chicago residents.
