About Me

I'm a quintessential soccer mom who adores her husband and son :-) I love hanging out with my family. I enjoy thoughtful commentary and quiet, reasoned discussion rather than "in-your-face" or "my-way-or-the-highway" theories. If you're passionate about your theories, great. I want to hear them and respond to them.
This site is welcome to anyone who wants to share their thoughts and beliefs through my blog :-)

My personal belief is that Judaism is grounded in the four main elements of earth, air, fire and water, and that most Jewish rituals and ceremony -- from lighting the Chanukah candles, to celebrating Pesach, to observing Shabbat -- incorporates these four elements. I also believe in the shekinah, or the feminine side of God.

Thank you and enjoy the page!

Who needs doomsday 2012?

This is rare for two reasons. First, that I'm posting two blogs in one day. And second, that I'm in such a cynical, bitchy, depressed mood I'm sure a lot of you are familiar with the "Doomsday 2012" ...

A question about soul mates

When we think of "soul mates," we think of the one-and-only, our forever love, the person with whom we want to be with for life, grow old beside with and raise kids with. In Judaism, the concept is ca...
