Welcome to Satine's Page!
Who I am: German and American Dual Citizen.

I have devoted most of my life to the exploration of The Arts and of culture, but I also love sunshine, and experiencing the outdoors. From horseback riding to dancing and hiking, I try to experience life at its fullest. I've worked in various branches of design, dance, and theater. I'm a geek when it comes to learning about our world, and the universe, outer space, and nature. And when I'm not learning or dreaming, I'm trying something new to promote well-being.
Some of my inspiration for fantasy and art are movies & their production, i.e. special effects magician groups such as Industrial Light and Magic, and WETA Workshop.
Even stunt-people in the movies fascinate me. I've also always had a fascination for the NASA, for traveling, and for the ocean. A few movies have combined these passions of mine have become my some of my favorite vehicles of fantasy during my free-time.
Hale O Malo (click on the hula girl for more info) inspired me to hula and embrace their local Ohana. I feel blessed to be embraced by them in return.
My boyfriend, John Matson is an established illustrator and illustration instructor at Milw. Institute of Art and Design (MIAD), and we both have drawings online. Where I've been since Milwaukee High School of the Arts...
I've always had a passion for The Arts, so I created my own passport, so-to-say. When I graduated MHSA (John Matson is also an MHSA alumnus, although we did not meet in high school), I got an MMAC Scholarship to go to MATC and graduated with a degree in Computer Graphics/Visual Information. After graduation, I spent 6+1/2 years professionally designing work in California and in Wisconsin, for the Air Force, Marketing firms, and Kinko's Design Departments.
In 2005 I won a 2nd Scholarship to go back to school in Beauty. I became a licensed Cosmetologist and worked at VICI Capilli, the Aveda salon for over a year after graduating VICI North Campus.
My little sister (also an MHSA alumnus) is a cancer survivor, and so after VICI Capilli I became a Managerial Teaologist at Teavana, interested to promote our health and well-being through loose-leaf-teas from all over the world packed with antioxidants.
Within the past 6 years I've also taught Competitive Ballroom Dance and House Managed at the Marcus Center for the Performing Arts.
In the present I am a Desktop Publisher & Graphic Designer for Market Probe.
Other interests include: taking adventures, drawing, sewing costumes, cosmetology, bird watching. I intend to begin cross-country skiing this winter. John and I enjoy tent-camping in the Rockies. Next year we're planning on visiting Cape Canaveral to see a shuttle launch.
'Have been interested in flight & airplanes always. My favorite job was working as a DOD GS-04 civilian at the 440th Airlift Wing AFRC next to the C-130s while working in the headquarters as a Graphic Designer when they still had the Visual Information Station. I got to do some video for an ER SR-71 landing, got to go to the military displays before the public, video for the fire dept., sketches for the SWAT team and digital photography for all branches of the military.
