Ma$$ Hollaâ„¢

A young MC named Ma$$ Holla, who was once known by the stage name Massika (Massacre) was inspired by music since 1998. He spent three years trying to find the perfect style to match his character so he can portray his emotional states through word play. Introduced to rap in the 7th grade, Ma$$ knew so little about music and preferred to just mimic his talented associates. What interest him the most is that his associates were so competitive with this thing that they called rap. For some reason he grew to learn the respect that came with the creative lyrics and punchlines that circled around the school. Trying to find a way to gain respect to smoothen his rough experience in middle school, Ma$$ decided to take rap serious and started battling. His closest friend then gave him the name Massacre to symbolize the multiple loses a day he'd give his opponents. In 2000 he finally found his first musical inspiration, an artist named Canibus. Ma$$ then adopted a piece of canibus' lyricism and revolutionized his own style. Later down the years he was then inspired by other names like Elzhi (slum village), Lloyd Banks, Tupac, Biggie, Common, Talib Kweli, Mos Def, Eminem, and Royce Da 5'9. In 2004, Mass took rap to another platform and started to make his rounds in the U.S. networking with the underground music circuit. He realized that conscious rapping was not going to bring him to his ultimate dream so he created a new style, alias, and mind state. He wanted to lose the name Massika and stop battling all together. He then shortened his name to Ma$$ and added the phrase Holla because it was the most common word used in the urban society. With himself reinvented, his ultimate goal is too reach a level beyond his expectations for success. With all that said, ENJOY THE MUSIC....Itz da kid w/ da platinum vocalz.. Ma$$ Holla..
