About Me
Hit em' Up Records began in 1997. An idea, a peninsula on the horizon. The struggle to climb the
mountain to make this dream a reality began immediately, and came with its fair share of rock slides, land
mines and road blocks...We began by cultivating our talent and building our arsenal of equipment, an ongoing task that would prove
to be timeless. During this process, fate playing the part she does brought us together with Money Vault
Muzicc, an up and coming company themselves founded by the Rapper/Producer, Da K.A.T. Together we
decided to combine our efforts and open a recording studio to support the needs of our projects, as well as
provide the Sacramento Music Community another option in the art of recording. Keeping ourselves busy
between our own creations and the workload of the studio, we were able to grow as a business to the point
that we were forced to find a larger location to meet the needs of our clientelle.Over the past few years, the studio has become one of the most recognizable names with in the music
community, providing services to artists and record executives alike. From pre-production to booth, from the
booth to master mix-down, from there to the distributor. We have done it all, and been host to some of the
most talented artists in the recording industry. Such artists as Yuckmouth (Smoke-A-Lot Records) from the
Luniz, Suga T(Sick Wit It Records) from the Click, Brotha Lynch Hung & the Siccmade Family (Siccmade
Muzicc), Keak Da' Sneak from 3x's Crazy, Luni Coleone (Sicc-A-Cell) and Devious (DVS Entertainment) are a
few of the artists to frequent the studio. Not to mention Da' K.A.T., who has already released his debut album,
"Still Subbin'" featuring such artists as MC Eiht, Ice-T, South Central Cartel and Compton's Most Wanted. He
has just finished recording his second soon to be released album, "Katastrophic", which features MC Eiht,
Above the Law, Brotha Lynch Hung, Devious, 8-Ball and Tone Montana.Through the trials and tribulations that life has presented, we have been able to maintain ourselves as a
growing business in the Sacramento community. Facing adversity and eagerly accepting the challenges of
tomorrow have allowed us to etch out our spot and progress at a steady rate. The studio operates on an
unofficial motto, and that is "The studio by artists, for artists!!" Are you one??
