Welcome to our City.....Miskeen Originals was born in the streets of West-Philadelphia by the hands of a dynamic artist who expressed the pain and passion of his community through his artwork on shirts. In 1999 the hand painted garments caught the eye of retailer Dr. Denim who respected the art and put the garments in its stores. In one weekend all 200 shirts were sold. The streets had spoken and a legend began…Popularity rose quickly and soon one artist wasn’t enough. By selecting the cream of the crop, Miskeen became a team of young multi-talented artists. Together they created a unique place where hot street wear originates and people can do what they love most: express their emotions through paint.Miskeen is well respected in the street and has gained strong support from the urban music industry. The customized Miskeen shirts are in high demand for photo shoots and music video’s. Icons such as Jay-Z, The Game, Diddy and Lebron James have been spotted in the colorful one-of-a-kind shirts.Today Miskeen Originals employs over 38 hand-paint artists who work together with a large team of illustrators and graphic designers to develop unique, fashion forward clothing. Miskeen has built a strong brand identity and a solid reputation for originality. Miskeen has gained popularity in the USA as well as Japan, South America and Europe.In addition to continuous production of hand-painted gear, Miskeen Originals releases around 10 apparel collections a year. These sophisticated, urban lines are all inspired by art. Some are created in collaboration with renowned graffiti and gallery artists such as Josh Wisdumb and Pinky Taylor. Currently Miskeen is developing a shoe & accessory line as well as the highly anticipated Miskeen women’s collection!Innovative collections, an extended network in the entertainment industry and ever-changing hand-painted products have created a unique fusion between art, music and fashion.
