I got a toy guitar at 4 and learned that I could get a lot of attention if I danced around like Elvis and shook my hair like the Beatles.
By 18, I was playing bar gigs for $400 cash per week doing Frampton and Doobie Brothers covers, but quit because I had discovered PUNK. I decided to move to Detroit (closest big city to my little home town), as a stepping stone to New York City (CBGB's, NY Dolls), L.A. (don't know why), then ultimately to London/UK (Sex Pistols, Clash)~ as "street school" to become a Punk Rocker.
Well, I made it as far as Detroit.
...Did hang at Bookies
...and explored the Hamtramck scene back in the late 70's. Saw Iggy, Sirus Trixon, Destroy All Monsters, MC5, The Ramones (Motor City Roller Rink)
etc... and DID start out in a couple Punk bands. That was a great era.
Me - tryin' to be "Iggy-like"

for a GREAT peek at the scene. I remember seeing her at some of these shows, and wish I'd met her. Her work is PRICELESS.
The full realm of my personal musical phases since 1978 - from Punk, thru Wave, Prog, Metal,
...to Electro/Eclecto. You're invited to check out more on my history as a wanna-be/kindawazza Rock Star by
visiting www.geocities.com/techon707 (sorry - myspace won't let me hot-link to the site for some reason).
Photography has always been a passion, and I've done a lot of it since the early 70's. Some of my model shoot stuff has been published (in PRINT, not Internet ~ and SOLD so I can't show it here), and I either shot or directed most of the promo stuff for my bands (including all but a couple of the photos shown here). I've documented more than I'll ever be able to organize. Photography appeals to my technical side, as well as providing an artistic outlet. My training is "old school" Nikon/film and darkroom ~ back before "auto-focus" let alone digital.
Both methods have strengths and weaknesses, and admittedly, 95% of what I do now is digital.
I've also always had a love for motorcycling. I started riding at 8, and did some competitive motocross. By 16, I'd knocked most my front teeth out and landed unconscious in the hospital a couple times (sloppy wheelies/showing off ~ before that, I could SPELL). Let's say "riding had a big impact on me". After smashing my face in, I sold my Yamaha and bought a Pentax 35mm camera, and eventually got out of riding for a while.
All of my recent riding has been on the streets, interstate backroads atop a 1200 Harley Custom ~ thanks to my friend Mike who bought too many motorcyles one year.
...Ya gotta dig the low end torque & HEAVY METAL THUNDER riding in a pact. If you ride, you know... the smells, the wind, the chills, the bugs... all of it. There's so much more awareness on a bike ~ things you'd never notice in a car. I'll blog more on the subject (maybe, someday;)...
All the best I now have to share evolves around my family ~ and I'd LOVE to brag them up to the world... but, you know... security, bla bla.
I've spent the last 18 years progressing a career to support my family (by choice) as an Engineer and UNIX Admin/programmer for an electronic manufacturer. They had me set up a program to out-source my work to India, and then "let me go".
Hence, time for reflecting and some catching-up with old friends.
