SFC David J. Salie was killed 14Feb.05 by a roadside bomb in Baqubah, Iraq. SFC Salie had been active duty Army for almost 17 years and planned to have many, many more years serving his country. He lived for his family and his country. The Army lost a great NCO, his soldiers lost a great leader, his friends lost a long time friend and his family lost the best husband and father any wife or child could ask for. SFC Salie left behind his wife, Deedy, his children.his grandparents, parents, siblings, nieces and nephews as well as so many that became his family by serving side by side with them. You will be missed forever David, but never forgotten.
