Hopeunseen

In April of 2003 David Vargas (vocals) , Aaron Newman (guitar), Steve Linden (drums) and Damian Aguayo (bass) decided to start jamming and start a band together. They had a friend, Patrick Arbanas, that was a bass player at heart but decided to take up the guitar to take the open second guitar spot. Mid year 2003 Damian and Aaron both decided that the band wasn’t something they could commit to at the time, so they decided to leave the band. David took up bass for the time being and the band continued on. Than in September of 2003 another friend/roadie of the band, Cody Martin, decided to learn the bass and play in the band. In November of 2003 Hopeunseen (all one word) was decided as the name and that’s when the style and songs started to form. In May of 2004 Hopeunseen Played its first show at a church in Fontana, CA. Hopeunseen kept on playing shows and moving on in music until August of 2005 when the decision was made to part ways with Steve linden (drums). After that the band was put on hiatus to find a new member/link to fill the drummer spot. A friend of the band Cory Lohman knew of a drummer that had just recently left a band and might be interested in playing with them. November of 2005 Shaun Hall went to Riverside and meet and practiced with the band. The practice went great and everyone just clicked, so Shaun was asked to join the band after one practice. Adding a new member meant that we had to teach him the songs, and Hopeuseen began to write new songs. The first song we wrote together was Merciful Arms. The first show played was on new years at a friends house. In June of 2006 we went into the studio in Orange County called Lindell Productions to record a 5 song demo. August of 2006 a friend of Shaun and the engineer of the demo Mike Muller joined the band as a guitarist, and original guitarist Aaron Newman came back to play guitar. So at this point Hopeunseen had 3 guitarist, bass, drums and vocals. December of 2006 Aaron decided to leave the band to join the Air force. So from December to present the band is still going strong and consist of David Vargas (vocals), Shaun Hall (drums), Mike Muller (guitar), Patrick Arbanas (guitar), and Cody Martin (bass). We are still writing and forming our sound and style. Hopeunseen writes and plays music for God, we are a Christian band and this is our ministry. Hopeunseen and all its members are 100% committed to the band. We want to take Hopeunseen as far as we can and follow gods plan for the band.
