About Me

The Soul Sunday Show is a production that showcase some of the best of the best Spoken Word Poets and Music Vocalist from around the country.
Soul Sundy has featured over three hundred poets & singer from all over the United States and beginning to be recognized as the place to hone your musical or vocal talents. Soul Sunday is the longest running show of it's kind in the nation with seven years, nearly 400 shows in over 20 cities throughout the United States.
Soul Sunday not only features music vocalist and poetry performer but many local visual artists showcasing their paintings, drawings and sculptures before and during the show. New aspiring visual artists have found a great advantage displaying their work at the Soul Sunday Show, their work is seen by hundreds of people each week plus many artists find customers and sell many of their paintings or drawings before, during and after the show.
Soul Sunday is famous for its open mic hour and some of the best new undiscovered talented musicians, vocalist and spoken word poets from around the country have preformed on the Soul Sunday stage. See profile page for pictures of the many artists that have performed at Soul Sunday.
Soul Sunday XIX Show will feature guitarist Chris "Smooth" Hines of Houston Texas playing songs from his solo album. Dj Kool Emdee will be spinning on the twin turn tables to work off some of the food you indulged in before the show's beginning. The Host of the show is none other than the Soul Sunday Executive Producer "Hawk" who offers comedy, witty topics of conversation and that true New Orleans favor to the show.

UPCOMING SCHEDULES OF SHOWS
Hawk Enterprize presents the Spring Break Music Festival featuring 20 acts on 3 stages representing as many as 10 genre's of music ( Blues, Reggae, Punk, Metal, Rock & Roll, Blues, Neo-Soul, Soul, Rap, Hip-Hop & World Beat Music.) highlighting many of the local area bands. The Spring Break Music Festival will be held on Friday March 27th 2009 at the World Famous Meridian, 1503 Chartres St., near downtown Houston Texas. The doors will open at 7:00p.m. with the first performer hitting the stage at 7:30p.m. Each of the 3 stages at the Meridian will host its very own style of music with the VIP Room hosting Neo-Soul, Spoken Word Poetry and Blues The Red Room will host R&B and World Beat Music leaving the Blue Room to host all the headliner in Reggae/Hip-Hop & Rap plus share the stage with the Metal, Punk Rock, and Rock & Roll Bands. This type of music festival will be the first of its kind for the Meridian and will set the bar for all other venue’s to follow, most venues would never consider blending these styles and types of music together at the same time much less on the same stage. The Meridian has never followed the beaten path, the Meridian is the trendsetter for all other venues to follow. The Spring Break Music Festival 2009 will be affordable costing $10.00 presale and $12.00 at the door on the day of the show. There will be plenty of food, drink specials, vendors and performing artist merchandise on hand so that you can pick up items from your favorite artists.
