Good Morning/Afternoon/Evening/Night, what ever suits the time
My name is David. Or Souter. Or Soutay. Or Pedro. Or Aslan. It depends on how and where you know me to what i am actually called. I like my different names. It gives me a sense of self-worth, which is always nice :D.
I am studying drama and film and Kingston University. I like it alot. I have met some great people here. Im glad ive met all of you. I dont know what i want to do with my life after uni. so im going to enjoy the next three years as much as i can, then worry about the technicallities of life.
My home is daventry. unfortunatly. Its not the greatest place on the planet, as most will tell you. The people that live there tho make it bearable. I love all the nights out, random car drives, hanging out, playing three a side sports in the summer and coming up with ridiculas rules and then we all argue about it, and the shits and giggles. As that is what we all live for. I miss being able to see all of you whenever i like. But everyone is doing their own thing, which is cool. I like that.
My favourite Author is Chuck Palahnuik. I think he is an incredibly talented man, a genius if you will, well, maybe thats a little pretencious, but ah well. :)
I like gigs. A hell of a lot. the bands that i have seen live are: Inme(x4), Green Day, The Offspring, Trivium, My Chemical Romance, The White Stripes, Franz Ferdinand, Alkaline Trio, Foo Fighters, Fall Out Boy, Belle and Sebastian, Mystery Jets(x2), We Are Scientists, iForward Russia!, Hot Chip, Taking Back Sunday(x2), Funeral For a Friend, Rise Against, Billy Talent, and soon to be, Nine Inch Nails, Cradle of Filth, Brand New. Also, i went to Reading this year (2006) and i saw at least ten mins of 33 bands. if your interested go have a look at my blog.
I am an Athiest. I believe that religion is no more than a form of control, and it is also the cause of more violence in the world that anything else. But, i will not think any different of you if you have a differnt view, and believe in religion. Never be told what to believe in by anyone. Make your own choices. we are in control of our lives. As of my belief in this, i also hate the idea of fate. i hate the idea that my life ahs been pre-determined, that im not in control, that every action i make is part of some grand scheme. It takes away choice.

I am a big music fan. I like anything from electro pop to death metal. Wierd? i like to think so. Some of my favourite lyrics:

I am Scottish and i am Proud to be it. Although i am from all over the place. I was born in dublin, and have spent most of my life in england. My whole family tho is scottish, therefore, i choose to be scottish. My family secends from the brodie clan if anyone cares :)
I like football. I support Manchester City and Dundee. Not dundee united. there is a difference. fools. :). Both teams arent doing especially great atm, but i hope things will improve... hope!! I also like rugby, and support the Northampton Saints. They've had mixed fortunes so far, and im hoping we can put on a good run of wins soon, and start being a real force to be reckoned with. mwhahaha
Id one day like to direct a version of shakespeares "A midsummer nights dream" as i believe that you can have so much creative freedom in doing it, becasue of the fairy world. My idea is a mix between beautiful light colours, and dark gothicy colours, to create this specticale upon stage of a kinda stuggle between dark and light. Im talking bollocks, yes, but meh, i dont mind :)
