About Me

LATEST NEWS:
I'm very pleased to state that after being asked to come in and do some work with PAMELA MOORE (known by so many of us as SISTER MARY of QUEENSRYCHE fame), we've developed a great and continuing relationship.
Brought in initially to do some shows in support of her 2007 album, STORIES FROM A BLUE ROOM, my role has expanded into exciting areas including some of my "not so hidden" passions. We've done some great work. In addition to the live shows, we've recorded some acoustic "easter eggs" (to be heard at a more strategic time), and currently have some really exciting material on the table to potentially write an album together, with more Pamela Moore Band shows to follow a release (more to come...)

I've been given a lot of freedom by Pam to come in and chase a colaborative vision, and she's been incredibly receptive to letting me work with the talents, traits and methods I've become known for over the years. It's purely an honor.

I'm happy to say that Pam is the sweetheart that we all would hope for, and I'm blessed that Pam has bestowed such trust and confidence upon me so quickly.
It's so nice to work with someone who WANTS to be working on something ALL THE TIME!. I've really missed that.

PURPOSE: The purpose of this myspace site is to celebrate the forms my musicianship has taken shape in, and share with more people, my love of what I do. I guess this is where I state for those that don't know I'm a guitar player and an eternal student of song writing and production. Like many musicians today, I find myself working on different styles of music that don't all fall into a "package-able" form with each other. Thus I find myself working in, and on, a few projects/mindsets as the 24 hours pass in a day.
MINDSET: My one "almost famous" quote has been: "My musical growth has been DIRECTLY related to my personal growth."
It has proven itself time and time again! And as I now try to learn to live by that thought, I find that CREATIVE FULFILLMENT is the real goal now. I enjoy the crap out of everything from heavy and agressive music, to orchestral and choral arrangements, to the grace, simple beauty and emotion of a single note steel string melody, across a nice seascape of acoustic guitars.
This is where I live.
I no longer know where it's taking me.
HISTORY (in short): I have had a very blessed "career" as it were. The biggest notations are the moderate successes gained with RADAKKA (Century Media) in the later 90's, AND MORE RECENTLY my working relationship with PAMELA MOORE (Queensryche's SISTER MARY).

But the blessed part I speak of comes from....even though my name has not reached household status, I find myself extremely proud of the quality, musicianship and professionalism I've been able to bring, EVERY time I commit to something.
Frankly, I'm kind of all or nothing. If I'm in....then that means I CARE. And if I care, I can't put the damned thing down! This has been a great formula for me and has seemingly won me the respect of the others involved each time. I've walked away from every endeavor proud of my contribution, regardless of the relative "success" or popularity of the product/project.
PROJECTS: I am currently working 2 projects of note (with 3 other passions waiting for their time in the sun). Still you may have heard my name in conjuction with one or more of the following:
1- THE PAMELA MOORE BAND- As stated above, I've been fortunate enough to be asked to work with Pamela Moore. The working relationship has quickly grown beyond initial hopes and will be leading me....???... I don't know where! ISN'T THAT COOL!!!
2- HEAVEN AND HELL (Chicago): Secondly, I'm proud to be a founding member of the midwest's best Dio/Sabbath/Rainbow tribute called Heaven and Hell (Chicago). This group allows me to go up and rip heads off playing some of my all time favorite music. There's not a phony bone in my body when I play in that "cover band". (BTW- we had the name first dammit!) :-)

--------------------
3- ACOUSTIC PROJECT (as yet unnamed): I'm working on some absolutely touching material that brings my recent love affair with the acoustic guitar to light. Self-produced CD in the works on this one- hopefully some showcasing thereafter. ACTIVELY LOOKING for some guest vocalists of varying styles to help flesh out the presentation/instrumentation.
4- BASTARD SAINTS: my own original metal/rock band. Bringin the metal back baby!
5- THE CHRISTMAS STRINGS- An acoustic quartet performing our own arrangements of Christmas classics plus an original feeling or two. Done with ultimate reverance for the season! Never anything but respect, reverance and heart-felt emotion!
IT IS WHAT IT IS: Each project above is different enough from the other, that the fanbase of one might not crossover to another, and I'll bear that risk. I needed a site to display properly, what I do- in all variations.
As stated, I also needed a site to put the word out that I'm looking for collaborators of like mind on each of these projects.
Please leave comments if you feel inclined to do so. I will use a couple of blogs to share more "detail" as to who I am, where I came from, what I'm hoping for etc. So please stop by and read those if you still care at this point.
Thanx for listening thus far. Nice to meet you.

My Interests

Music:

Band Members:LOOKING FOR COLLABORATORS/MEMBERS/INTERESTED PARTIES: Some of the tracks above are intended to be re-recorded when more permanent band members/project goals are defined.
Influences: MOST RECENT INSPIRATION has come from the musicality of Ritchie Blackmore and John Denver.

But in terms of LIFELONG INFLUENCES, the following have all had their dirty little part in sparking my imagination and having a hand in my "evolution": Ronnie James Dio, Randy Rhoads, Bach and Mozart, Black Sabbath, KISS, John Williams, Eddie Van Halen, John Sykes, Michael Schenker, Danny Elfman, Queensryche, Segovia and Parkening, Renaissance and RenFaire music (celebrating romance, song, the magic in the out of doors, good ale and good mates to share it all with), and of course, the morality plays found in a well written Star Trek episode....(I know....I just heard it...)...I'll stop now.
