I am here for Friends

About Me

There are more things in heaven and earth than are dreamt of in your philosophy
- Hamlet

The condition upon which God hath given liberty to man is eternal vigilance; which condition if he break, servitude is at once the consequence of his crime, and the punishment of his guilt.
-John Philpot Curran

Reality is that which, when you stop believing in it, doesn't go away.
-Philip Dick

I'd like to meet:

Feel free to message me. I keep getting friend requests from random people I've never met with no explanation. I guess that's a way to go, but, really ... if you're looking to meet new people, I'm down with that; just message me. No matter how you slice it I don't think it counts as "meeting" if someone's picture just sits on your friend list and you've never actually exchanged two words, spoken, written, or otherwise. If you just want to keep track of people you might want to talk to someday, use the "Favorites" function. Some people's profiles are only open to their friends so that would make sense, but, for the time being, mine is all out there. I also don't want to aid and abet the fabricated profiles out there for the sole purpose of posting stuff like "look at my webcam" and "get a free cell phone."

If you're running a profile for a book or a club that's a little different. And I don't feel like such a cad if I hit the "deny" button.

For now I'm going to trust you guys to read and respect this. I was going to up my security settings but there are a good number of friends and acquaintances who might not have my last name so I don't want to go there.
