Greater Saint James Church is Spirit-Filled and Life Changing Church in the City of Alma, Georgia and Surrounding Cities. Although, Alma is a small town in the State of Georgia; However God still wants to do a Work in the lives of his people. God has given us an assignment to: "Preach & Teach to reach a dying nation".
Greater St. James Church is Under the Leadership of our beloved Pastor: Bishop Lucious C. Rogers, Sr. and Co-Pastor Dorceil W. Smiley.
Bishop Rogers is not only the pastor Greater St. James, he is the pastor of three other Churches: Saint Matthew Church of Baxley, Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church of Mershon, Macedonia Missionary Baptist Church of Graham.
Under the Leadership of Pastor Rogers, we have took a leap from Traditional ways to complete Holiness. Greater St. James Church was formerly known as Saint James Missionary Baptist Church. The church was once located off of Johnson Lake Road. Upon moving from Johnson Lake Rd. to Seventh St. the name of the church changed to "Greater St. James". Bishop L.C. Rogers is the Presiding Prelate of the United Union Fellowship Church, Inc.
