I am a doctoral student at Ball State University (Music Theory and Composition). Additionally, I am a full-time facutly member in the Music Theory and Composition department for BSU's School of Music. My instructional assignments include: Music Theory (including all levels of the traditional 4-semester theory rotation, 20th Century Theory, 18th Century Counterpoint, and Form and Analysis), Composition, Aural Skills (all levels), and General Music History. Additional instructional assignments include teaching Keyboard Harmony, Piano Pedagogy, and Music Theory at Saint Joseph's College.
My service assignments include managing the Music Technology Resource Lab for the College of Fine Arts (BSU), sitting on the Graduate Education Committee (BSU), and representing the College Music Society's for SJC. I've been playing music my whole life...wouldn't know what to do with myself if I didn't. One of my claims to fame is that I was the first ever varsity athlete (football and track) music major to graduate from Saint Joseph's College.
Outside of the academic arena my life is pretty plain. I am studying Taekwondo, and a proud father. As for my family, my wife is an Instructor of Chemistry for Ball State University and is finishing her advanced degree. We've recently welcomed our first child into the world and are looking forward to starting a new phase of our lives. Much love to all of you and I wish you all the best.
