About me: I am 36 years young, Married to Denise, with a fabulous baby boy called Jazz. (My inspiration)
My Background: After being given the sack from my tyre fitting job when i was 20, I enrolled onto a B'tech course in media, very few courses did animation back then. So I spent my days making super 8 animations in a little box room. This lead to me enrolling onto the animation degree at Farnham. And from there I was lucky enough to be excepted onto the 'Model Animation Course', that was then set up and run by Aardman animations. I completed the course and spent some time down at Aardman animating a Wallace & Gromit advert for japanese Television. I now own and run my own very small stop frame animation studio. Pushing and shoving my work out to the public.
My company: 'Fool Hardy Films' a very small outfit consisting of me and my studio, but creating a very high standard of 'Stop-Frame' work.
Professional work: Cobravision, series of five second stings. BBC Talent 2005 finalist. UK Film Council/Screen South, 7 minute 'stop frame' animation, financed, completed and currently touring the festivals!
Most memorable moment of my career: Being paid for the first time....amazing being paid to do something I love....WONDERFUL!!!!!
What most excites me about my work: The sheer creativity, seeing a whole new world, full of characters and places I have created come to life and interact with each other.Superb!!!!
I like: Curries, good company, my wife and baby boy, fun days out in the summer with my whole family.
Favorite films: I never know how to answer these sort of questions? I don't really have favorite films, I don't care who made or directed them. I just want to watch a film that can make me smile, cry, laugh or all of the above...but most of all, I love it when i watch a film and it touches me emotionally.
Favourite music: Kraft Werk, all sorts of stuff.
Favourite literature: 'The Life and times of Norman bucks-ville'. 'Men and their sheds' and 'Timbuktu or bust'
