Markus Meurer

Markus Meurer is performing since years on didgeridoo-festivals in and out of europe. He is a didgeridoo teacher and performer. His first band "droned" started in 2001 together with the 2 didgeridoovirtuosos Benny Klafki and Clouse Mayerböck. In 2005 Markus started the project "Neverest" together with the multi-instrumentalist Stephan Braun. In Neverest Stephan is mostly playing the cajon. They played on festivals all over europe. In 2006 he released his first CD together with the worldmusic producer Yomano from Berlin. The single T1 of that album went on the worldwide known Didgeridoosampler "Didgeridoo rocks" from Australia. In 2006 Markus played with the percussionist Elad Neeman from Israel together on the Didgeridoo Festival Israel. On that festival Markus played a jam with Aron Szilagyi, one of the best jew`s harp players in the world. In a magical moment at the Israeli Didgeridoo Festival Markus Meurer didgeridoo player and Áron Szilágyi Jew’s harpist performed together with the beatboxer Inon in 2006. All of a sudden an emotional and acoustic storm dragged more than a thousand people to dance. This had to be carried on, so Markus and Áron kept their eyes and ears open to find a great beatboxer in Europe to join them. A few months later Áron met the perfect third, Döme the virtuoso beatbox champion who was eager to join the guys and make Airtist complete. So Aron, Markus and Döme formed AIRtist.
