Dick Dale(Vox), Pete Taylor (Bass), Gary Macgilvary (guitar), Rick Pietrus(Guitar), Craig Stevenson (Drums) Formed in September 1995 with the idea of doing something really fucking fast and nasty, crossed between power violence and 80s style hardcore, chuck in some fruitbat breakdowns (influenced by the evil clown pictures of john wayne gacy) and out spawned Gacys Place. First gig was at the Abbadon Feb 96 but cant remember who the fuck we played with. Played a shit load of gigs with bands like Unit 1174, Bloodsucking Freaks and then recorded at john Reynolds in Dec of 96 for a compilation called "Easy Listening for The Terminally Tortured" on Dominator records. December 96, Gacys Place recorded at Soundhouse for a split with Seven Foot spleen(US) on Spial Objective. Soon after Rick left and moved up to Darwin. Gacy's stayed as a four piece and the beer flowed. Shows followed in Melbourne and some great gigs in Adelaide. Propagandi a highlight and not long after Noisefest, another killer show at Adelaide Uni with Unit 1174, Taxed, Fallout and Beanflipper. April 98 back into Soundhouse for what would be our last recording. Released August "Smells Like Gacys Place" 7" on Spiral Objective. Gacys Place decided to split in 99, last show was at Noisefest(Inzone nightclub). Gary and Dick went on to form Kamakazi. Dick also organises Trasharama, exposing people around Aus to horiific C -grade home made horror flicks. Gary decided to make puppies later. Craig dissappeared into the world of corporate management . Pete played on with Keeth which split only months later and later formed slackjaw and Guantanamo Bay City Rollers. UPDATE Been talk lately of reunion gigs but very unlikely as our brains have turned to jelly or we just cant be fucked trying to work out the songs.
