The Metropolitan Atlanta Theater Awards was created in 2004, with the intent of recognizing the hard working volunteers that put their time into various non-union professional and community theater groups around the Metro Atlanta area. We organize, review, judge, and present awards for various categories in the theater environment, including but not limited to: Best Acting, Best Directing, Technical Awards, Choreography, etc. Currently, there is a 15 person committee that reviews submitted shows by participating theater companies. The current President & Vice President is Russ Ivey and Jerry Harlow respectively. The sitting committee members include Damon Bohan, Jennifer Simmons, Duck Kingsenamongkhol, Gary Morgan, Katy Harlow, Will Fowlkes, Kay Bohan, Robin Thornett, Rebecca Coffee, Vincent Tuccillo, Alan Rutter, and Kelly Lane.
