About Me

I'm a Single Mom of a 7-year-old Girl. Love Music and playing my Guitar. You can check it out at www.myspace.com/bjf1975musicI'm still delusional enough to think that I can make a difference in this strange little world we live in.

My Interests

Music, Music, and more music. Creativity and living life on your own terms. Volunteering when you have the time.

I'd like to meet:

People who approach life with passion but don't take themselves too seriously. You have to know how to let loose and have fun. If you're NOT doing what you love you shouldn't be doing it. Wake up every morning knowing that you are right where you want to be... even if you're having a shitty day.

Music:

Everything. I love it all. I don't care if it's the Dixie Chics or Spinal Distortion or Mahler, just love expressing yourself through music. Jason Mraz is my absolute favorite!

Movies:

let me Think... Anything with Tom Hanks in it (I'll spare you from the list).... The Village, The Sweetest Thing (Best chic flick ever), Dirty Dancing, Mona Lisa Smile, Walk the Line, The Family Stone, Object of my Affection, Gangs of New York.

Television:

rarely have time to indulge

Books:

A lot of nonfiction, but I also enjoy a great novel. I love the great literature of the past as well as good mind candy off the used book store shelf. A few of my Favorites are: Atlas Shrugged & Fountainhead, The Awakening (plus others by Kate Chopin) 1000 White Women good historical fiction, Plus Peter Straub.

Heroes:

"I need a hero I'm holding out for at hero 'till the end of the night He's gotta be strong And he's gotta be fast And he's gotta be fresh from the fightI need a hero I’m holding out for a hero 'till the morning light He’s gotta be sure And it’s gotta be soon And he’s gotta be larger than life Larger than life"

How to Free a Kentucky Girl

I have to take a minute from my daily grind, grab a smoke and walk outside the shipping dock door. The smoke shack, as it's called, consists of a picnic table and a little shelter like you'd find at a...
