Violence has been on a rise throughout America, in the Caribbean, and now it has settled in the Virgin Islands. The crime rate has quadrupled to the point where our people seem to be desperate for an answer.Who is RASLAND? I am Rasland. All the Virgin Island children are Rasland. Rasland is the movement that’s empowered to give each child an opportunity to grow and have a chance to live a more positive life. Every man, woman, &child affiliated with Rasland will proudly proclaim “WE ARE RASLAND!†We are One island, One community, One people, & One love.Rasland is the effect of all Virgin Islands children, born, unborn, near & afar who poses to restore the lost memories of all our children. Mistakes that ourselves, our parents, &grandparents made will be bridged & cultivated to formulate a more positive thinking, working, & living.The concept of Rasland is entertainment, creativity, and productivity for youths & elders. By creating a competition involving the children of the Virgin Islands and an outlet for the elders to come out and enjoy themselves provides a fun filled and secure atmosphere everyone can relate to. The youths will not be entertained by entertainers, but by themselves and their peers. By offering entertainment for persons of all ages, Rasland is sure to become a household name all will live by. Events held by Rasland Promotions will include, local artist performances, off island entertainment, youth rallies, basketball Clinics and tournaments, vegan catering, homegrown wines, Natural juices & smoothies, Afrikan & Island cloth lining, importing & exporting of Fine Afrikan arts, Tutoring and workshops for kids, and other monthly community events that will honor those who have selflessly devoted their time and energy in positive ways. These events will not only be marketed and advertised locally but internationally as well.Rasland Promotions was founded by a handful of individuals who have committed themselves to bettering our community and making it a place that we can all be proud of. More importantly, it is vital that we do this so that our youth abroad can have an opportunity to return home to aid in this effort.Rasland Promotions of St. Croix is preparing to make a step in the right direction. We are dedicated to serving and promoting the Virgin Islands community in a positive and enlightening way. Guided by a mission and vision of unity and togetherness, Rasland Promotions is committed to engaging youth and elders to join as one to create One Virgin Islands’ family.The RASLAND family has dedicated their lives for the betterment of the VI community.
