The MPU
Group is the leading entertainment company in Washington, DC. Our company
was created in 1996 at Howard University Homecoming where our very first
event spoke of our desire for ultimate success; it featured Jay Z and Kid
Capri. We shut the city down that night and we have been doing that ever
since. We have grown since that time from a small local promotions outfit
into the market leader in nightclub and concert promotions, with a keen eye
for precise special event coordination. We "DO IT BIG" and without a hitch,
every week! Our company has been very successful in our various
entertainment promotions due to a very well developed knowledge of the
streets. We are the streets. The basis of our clientele from the very
beginning has been those who we know either personally or by less than six
degrees of separation. We have used consistent advertising as our main
weapon in attacking the market. We work closely with the local radio and
print media to produce an all out promo blitz for all of our events. Chances
are if you attend the nicer events in the metro Washington DC area, you have
heard of us. The secret of our success is just that, a secret. Just be sure
to attend our events and have a ball! Over the past seven years, Mad Power
Unit has built a strong and loyal following, providing a luxurious party
atmosphere drawing over 3,000 people each week at various DC venues. Some of

weekend party @ Jordan’s hosted by Larry Hughes was also a blast. It has
always been our goal to bring the very best in concert and party
entertainment to those with discerning tastes for that which is quality. We
also bring you the purest blend of great music from the very best DJ’s in
the country. Our dedication is to the real party people, so we bring quality
entertainment week after week for your enjoyment! We brought you the 1st All
Star weekend block party at Platinum and DC Live hosted by Allen Iverson and
many more; we also brought you Allen Iverson’s 1st Annual DC Birthday party
that was an epic adventure into that which is ultimate party enjoyment. We
were the one's that brought you P-Diddy's FLIRT Dress to Impress at 1223,
and Chris Webber's 1st DC party in years also at 1223. We brought you
Michael Jordan at 1223 in Downtown Washington DC after his very last NBA
Game and guess what? The game was in Philly. We brought you many great
