Hip-hop newcomer, Clifford Mesha (C.A.S.I.N.O.), recently sat down to share with label, R.E.A.L. Music his passion. "Music is not just a hobby for me; it is my passion which fuels my goals." For Clifford Mesha, music is hereditary; his family’s roots are deeply embedded in gospel and jazz. It was to no surprise that Clifford Mesha developed chops (technique) on the keys and decided to minor in classical and jazz studies at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, Fl. While in high-school, hip-hop provided an opportunity for him to express himself verbally about issues pertinent to his interests. As time progressed, he continued to disseminate his message to people willing to listen. "My primary goal is to create a continual inundation of quality music that is relatively accessible to mainstream and underground hip-hop consumers alike" he says, when speaking of his debut album, NINE2FIVE. When asked, how did you come up with NINE2FIVE as an album title? Clifford Mesha states, "The title represents the process of independently creating a professional retail ready album. It is a lot of hard-work and in order to attain over-achieving results, I had to treat it as if it were a full time job!â€
