The Slovenian double bassist, music producer and arranger Marko TurÅ¡iÄ has been linked with music since his youth. After years of playing guitar he took lessons in double bass at class held by an excellent professor Peter BrÄareviÄ, and soon after that he managed to join top musicians into a tango quintet, where they mostly played Astor Piazzolla’s music. Since then he has been fully devoted to tango. At summer schools he gained a lot of knowledge from great masters of contemporary tango such as Juan Carlos Cuacci, Juan Esteban Cuacci, Roger Helou, Lila Horowitz, Pablo Agri, Ramiro Obedman, Mikael Augustsson, Javier Cohen, etc.
Besides taking part in Astorpia quintet he also collaborates with numerous musicians across the Europe, the El Entrerriano quartet and other ensembles. Lately he has been devoting as much attention to tango nuevo as to traditional tango.
