In the last years, the anarchy in the French suburbs, also known as "Emeutes dans les Banlieues" have produced many new factors to society. One of them is the extremely rebellious rap culture that has emerged in the fight against discrimination and right-wing-politics. The pioneers in this development Joey Starr and NTM have now influenced many teenagers to use the rap as a way to express their feelings on the current state of the divided nation France.
One of them is Clément Patard a/k/a MC Patarovic from Lille in the north of France, where a whole new rap movement is developing, a developement of solidarization with the "jeunes de banlieues". In his songs, Patarovic raps about the chance to be able to judge the situation from outside the conflict zones and the way the French youth in general feels about the political situation, dissing Nicolas Sarkozy and Jean-Marie Le Pen, two right-wing politicians.
In 2006, he met up with Berlin Underground Rapper Johnny Kash a/k/a Ferdinand Maubrey with whom he started his collabo UP NORTH. The strong street anthem "Aveuglement" came out soon after that and showed the incredible potential and the ways in which the two rappers harmonize so perfectly. This collabo is extremely successful on an underground basis.
currently MC Patarovic and Kash are working on the underground album "BOOTCAMP EUROPE" with the first street single "L'UNION FAIT LA FORCE" still to come!
