The Alchemists of Sound

About Me

The Alchemists Of Sound formed in January 2007. They are an exciting new progressive rock band with their own unique sound and as the name 'Alchemy' suggests, they have taken their own blend of progressive rock with psychodelic overtures and created something out of nothing. With all the members of the band having previous experience playing together, it wasn't long before they amassed some exciting material whilst creating a new unique sound. The music and style has been likened to bands such as Pink Floyd & Dire Straits, but with heavy influences coming from groups like Oasis and The Stone Roses, The Alchemists have added a modern edge to the genre.Struting their stuff The Alchemist's of Sound burst onto the Scottish music scene with various gigs in top spots throughout Scotland's main city's this summer. The band made their live debut at Edinburgh's Whistle Binkies in May 2007,then through to Glasgow's Barfly with their infectious sound ,spreading the word and gaining in confiedence their gigs just get better and better!Currently in the studio recording their a debut single which is planned for a autumn release though New Citi Recordsyou can watch some of the King Tuts gig in the video section there is 6 songs from the set there. enjoy AOSPhotography and Grafiix by Dubphonicinfidel (Allan Mcleish) copyright
