“Music was my only outlet," says Jonathan Moore, a singer/songwriter/producer from Newport News, VA. If you would take the melodic stylings of mid 50’s rhythm and blues, mix that with the lyrical dynamics of soul, jazz, hip hop and a little reggae, and then top that off with the story telling elements of folk, you might come up with the recipe for Jonathans unique style of writing and composition. “I grew up in a very conservative family. I was never allowed to listen to the radio, so if I wanted to hear music I had to make it myself.†So for over the past decade, that is exactly what he has done. In 2008, equipped with his acoustic guitar, heartfelt lyrics, inspiring messages, sandpaper raspy voice, and humble approach, Jonathan began to draw the attention of audiences and critics across America.
Jonathan Moore has been touring in support of his 6 track EP, “Lessons Learned, Loves’ Lost†with songs such as “Sunlight†and “Bridges Burning†considered to be only a taste of the anticipated full length album expected late 2008.
