Greetings in the name of His Imperial Majesty emperor Haile Selassie I JAH RASTAFARI. This is a brief story of my music history. I was born and raised in brooklyn New York.Growing up in the 80's I was heavily influenced by music.My pops is a musican,my grandmother is a singer/ actor,my aunt is a singer,and my uncle is a dancer.As a yout ,I had five older cousins and all of them were dj's.So as far back as I can remember records and turntables was always in my household.At the age of seven,I was taught to blend,scratch,and assemble a dj set. I did it off and on until other things caught my intrest like, breakdancing,graphitti,and nintendo.When I was about thirteen I caught a vibe to go back to djing again,and went hard. By the early 90's me and my friends formed a group called KING FILA. Not to brag or nothing but we used to f$@ up the dancehall them times.It wasn't until the late 90's I was getting bord with just being a dj.I was to much for my moms to handle so I moved upstate N.Y. with my pops for a while.It was then I started to get into producing.Me and my pops would record demos on a four track,I'd do the drums on my SP12OO and he'd played the keys,and bass tracks.I moved back to brooklyn and linked up with my homie{Philly Dot com a.k.a BANGOUT} from day care,yap day care.We started making straight up sample tracks,until he and I would advance to MPC's and keyboards.Today im still influenced by all these people,and these experiences,and I try to incorperate them in my music ,DJing ,and Producing.. This is my story,a true ghetto story,a brief musical story!! I wanna give thanks to the almighty for giving me life,for without it none of this could be so.I also would like to thank everyone who influenced and schooled me along the way and is continuing to do so,To too many names to mention ,but they know who they are ,give thanks!!
