John Bennett has been writing songs since he was a kid. Inspired by John Lennon he dreamed of being a Beatle. He spent many years traveling and surfing remote areas of the world, which led him living briefly in Australia and New Zealand. Music has always been a constant, as a kid he started with piano, then drums, but found the guitar made songwriting more accessible anywhere at any time. Pushed by family and friends, he recorded his first full length album, Precious Time (due out in fall 2007). Honest, Sincere vocals and distinctive song arrangements are the hallmark of John’s writing, which tends to be heart on sleeve lyrics and songs you just can’t get out of your head. Both literate and dark, his music will find yourself wanting more.
