Starting at the age of 15, Flynn started out playing at countless private parties throughout Byron Bay and the Gold Coast. His popularity grew rapidly and his weekends were constantly booked out, his reputation as a true crowd pleaser began to spread fast. As soon as he turned 18, he was snapped up by Byron Bays’ leading nightclub PLAY.
Flynn’s sharply honed skills and local knowledge quickly earned him a strong local following and his hard driven vocal and electro house ‘mashup’ sets gave him a good reputation within the industry that is rare for his age. His flexible, unique and energetic performances keep a crowd on the floor for as long as he plays. Flynn has a unique ability to bring life to an empty dance floor.
There is one method in which Flynn prepares for a gig, that is currently being overlooked by many others in the industry, this his devotion and pride that he takes in his work by researching the venue, audience and direction in which the venue/festival wishes to display, making his selection of music during his set a shore crowd pleaser, creating an energy from behind the decks that he is most famous for, going nuts!
Flynn now plays gigs all over northern New South Wales and south east Queensland, including memorable sets as resident at PLAY Nightclub, QUEST Nightclub, Crobar Nightclub,Watergate lounge bar,Element lounge bar,L9one (Calypso) Ballina Beach hut Nightclub, Hotel Great Northern, the resident DJ for the Fabric radio show on 105.7 Radio Metro as well as his ongoing residency at Satin Lounge bar. Flynn has played alongside acts such as Matlente, Bag Raiders, Bodyrox, Ian Carey,Klass, Seany B, Amber Savage, tyDi, Poxy Music, Nick Taylor, Kaptain Kaine, Joey Mojo, Baby G, Katie Drover, Gerry Morales, Chardy, Sampology and Mat Roberts.
Flynn also went on to play massive sets at the 2007 Splendour in the Grass Festival, 2007 Beats On The Beach festival and 2007 Oceans 30 festival playing alongside acts such as Black Angus (Sneaky Sound System), Dangerous Dan(Bang Gang), Van She, Pendulum, The Nextmen and many more, as well as playing at the first Climate Festival in Brisbane, Gold Coast Auto Salon, the Option Audio sound off and the massive Entourage party at Waxy's upstairs.
Flynn also played at both the Mad Hatters and Back2school parties at QUEST and Chillout for charity at the Breaky Creek Hotel in Brisbane. While studying at university, he is also starting to experiment with production. Flynn has many industry professionals take note and realise he is going to be a force in the industry in years to come.
