LIVE WORK CREATE Found my Dads guitar in the attic when I was around 8 and the rest is history. I am a guitarist, bassist, composer/arranger, bandleader, producer and educator. love to listen to and play many styles of music. I was basically self taught untill I went to Berklee and got to play and study with many great players and teachers. In Boston, I became a busy guitar player working with funk, jazz, reggae/dub, rock, hip hop/R&B, world music artists. My love for MUSIC allowed me to experiment with musicians from many different crew's and scenes. I also started writing alot more music and composed and arranged pieces for large ensemble and became a jazz composition major.. After tiring of Beantown, I moved to NYC (where else?) and I have been working it here for a minute now. I've performed at Lincoln Center and many of the large venues throughout the nation with many groups and tours. In addition to leading my group BQEZ, which is live jazz/hiphop collective, I have performed along side many greats including John Scofield, George Porter (of the Meters), Talib Kweli, Christian Mcbride (JAS aspen), Butch Morris, Pharoah Monch, Ceelo (Gnarls Barkley), Medusa and MC Supernatural.
