Mission Statement
Our mission at Jazzy Management is to provide excellent and unsurpassed management representation for musical artists and producers. We feel that such representation is lacking overall in the music industry and are out to make a difference by giving our roster of artists the best guidance possible through our committed staff led by respected music veteran Shawndel "Jazzy D" Rosa. Many artists throughout the history of the music industry have signed deals that weighed heavily against their favor and while that still happens, it will not happen to artists under The Jazzy Management roster. From promotions to contract negotiations we strive to be the best for our clientele.
Company Overview
Jazzy Management is the dream and passion of former hip hop artist Jazzy D who for years has served as a mentor for numerous hip hop stars for the past 2 decades. Jazzy D decided to take his role as "unofficial" advisor to these stars and officially start his own management company.
What makes this company unique is that Jazzy D has experienced the many ups and downs of being an artist, the hard learned lessons about contracts and the dealings with labels. Jazzy D has built up a staff of hard working individuals that have experience in promotions, public relations and even a musical entourage of producers to help build the careers of his artists and give them the extra assistance that they need. The company also has it's own recording facility located in Sylmar, CA that is used by his roster for the recording of their mix tapes, albums and other promotional needs.
Jazzy Management is a management company but it's also looking to go beyond that by also being a non-profit community resource with the youth and giving them outlets where they can help make better life decisions for themselves. Everything within the company is guided by integrity, honesty, hard work, loyalty and excellence. In addition to operating Jazzy Management, Jazzy D also is the President of Blu Division Records which is the company founded by West Coast recording artist Glasses Malone. That position entails negotiating the business deals on behalf of Blu Division as well as the artists under its roster.
Now that you have learned more about our company, we would like to introduce you to our wonderful talent roster.
Jazzy Management Talent Roster
Butch Cassidy: This Long Beach native and cousin of Hip Hop music legend Nate Dogg rose to fame by stealing the show on the classic song "G'd Up" by Snoop Dogg featuring Tha Eastsidaz off of their Platinum album. Since then Butch has gone on to shine in songs such as Lay Low by Snoop Dogg produced by Dr. Dre and numerous other works with the likes of DJ Quik and The Westside Connection. Butch Cassidy s currently preparing his independent release "Playa's Life" with the hot lead single "Swagger."
Eastwood: Formerly signed to Death Row Records, Eastwood appeared on the front cover of The Source Magazine and touted as a future star. Since his departure from Death Row, Eastwood signed to upstart Jaded Entertainment and was making one of the hottest albums of the year. But Eastwood didn't like the inexperience of the new company so he brought Jazzy Management aboard and his release from Jaded was secured without him owing back a cent of the $800,00 spent on him by the company. Eastwood and Jazzy Management are currently fielding new deals for his services.
Kam: This West Coast veteran rocked the 90's with such jams like "Peace Treaty" and "Whoop Whoop". Recently, Kam hooked up with Rap icon Snoop Dogg and joined fellow West Coast stars MC Eiht & Goldie Loc to form The Warzone. Independent label Koch Records will be releasing their upcoming album. Kam is known on the streets and in the rap world for having a deep mind and he shows it by bringing substance as well as entertainment in his music.
Fred Knuxx: One of the hardest working artists in the music business, hands down. Fred keeps himself on the grind as he records every single day and performs up and down the East Coast constantly. Having appeared on every major website from Allhiphop.com to Hiphopdx.com, Fred is also making his way in to the magazines as he is featured in the November issue of Vibe Magazine. Fred is also releasing his highly anticipated Coast to
Coast street album Delafornia that will be matching him up with California’s finest young talent.
Noni Spitz: The first artist signed to Jazzy Management, Noni Spitz is a Los Angeles bred lyrical monster. The release of his "W.I.M.S. Radio" Mixtape had the Internet and the streets buzzing with his hard-hitting lyrical ability. Discovered by Hip Hop Legend Sir Jinx (Dr. Dre's cousin & Ice Cube's former producer) Noni Spitz is a young energetic performer that makes himself a hard person to perform after in a concert. Noni is also rolling with Hood tight records.
Sonja Blade: This Brooklyn born and raised female MC has written for NBA great Shaquille O'Neal and was set to make her debut with Virgin Records. Label politics led to the album never being released but that didn't stop Sonja from following what she was meant to do: Rock the Mic like no other female MC. Sonja has been busy with her new Mixtape Back To Business and has kept her claws sharp by recently battling and defeating female MC's like Remy Ma.
Young Trump: Son of Southern rap legend C-Murder and the nephew of No Limit icon Master P, Young Trump made his debut in a group called The Rich Boys with his cousin Lil Romeo. Young Trump then embarked on his own journey when he moved to Los Angeles and started recording for his debut solo project. Joining Jazzy Management recently, Young Trump has already started to peak the interest of executives looking for that fresh young sound.
Big Dutch: Brought in to the rap game by The Westside Connection's group Tha Komrads, Big Dutch has performed on stage with icons like Ice Cube. Dutch then went on to join Gangsta of Tha Komrads in a group called The Sweat Hoggz produced by Sir Jinx. When those plans fell through, Big Dutch teamed up with longtime friend Compton Bub to form Brook Central. The group released a street album called The Electric and are preparing their official release in 2008.
Network: This San Diego native is not only a performer but also is a specialized concert promoter as well with his popular "Urban Legend Get downs." Network has recently been working with E-40 on a series of concerts and has even garnered the attention of E-40 in his budding rap career.
