The first 4 seconds of Part 1 is a restructured sampling of a radio commercial for “Ohio Bell†by R. Scott which was sent to me as an interesting tidbit in a compilation of oddities and artifacts by another composer friend of mine Nick Carstoiu. The first four seconds is also the complete sound source for all the subsequent sounds. Everything you hear has been
s-t-r-e-t-c-h-e-d, shrunk, filtered,
C / H / O / P / P / E / D, mashed, slammed against the wall, driven out of hiding with high powered explosives and any other imaginable, or unimaginable, method of teasing the sounds out. So, that means there are no drums, or animals, or anything else you may conjure up- it’s all in your head! It used to be in mine alone.
