This young, talented, cutting edge group consists of Jon Harris, whose high tenor voice remind you of Michael Jackson; Lamarr Hill, whose second tenor voice reminds you of Usher; Steph Green, whose deep bass makes all the girls scream and add that extra "mmph!" to every song and finally the group's lead singer Jaye Bynum whose voice remind you of Al Green and John Legend. The group formed when group members Alonzo Jarmon and Jaye Bynum were having a regular conversation on the phone and Alonzo had mentioned that his mother Mrs. Yolanda Jarmon wanted to put together an exciting all male group. Jaye loved the idea and that he too wanted to put an all male gospel group together and told Alonzo that he would be in search for an additional two members for the group. After Jaye contacted his cousin Lamarr and friend Stephen from a previous group about being in the group they too were excited and S24:6 was born. Unfortunately after a month of the group existence group member Alonzo Jarmon died in a tragic car accident. The group was hurt by their band mate and friend tragic death. The group took a two month break and later on Jonathan Harris joined the group as the new fourth member.Now the group is back and is ready to take the country by storm!!! The guys are now working on material for their debut album "Transitions" which should be in stores 2008."I'm so excited about where God is beginning to take us, we are beginning to develop a strong team that is very supportive of our music and ministry and we are doing a lot of writing on this project. With this album we wanted to cover topics that we face as young men, topics that are not necessarily talked about in gospel”says Jaye. The album lead single "I Love U" is a beautiful worship song that God given group member Lamarr Hill in the middle of the night. Also the urban and fused with rock "I Keep Trying " which is basic call to God saying that no matter what we may face in life we will continue to keep pressing through whatever it may be and do what God has destined us to do. Finally there is a track that would guarantee everyone on the dance floor a very urban and crunk song entitled "Set It Off".Other boy groups can sing so, what's so special about S24:6? Are they just another boy group? "There are plenty of boy groups that have tight dance steps, and nice clothes, but they aren't saying anything. Most of them are selling sex, sex, and more sex, because that's all they have to offer. They are singing about this empty love and that "hurt me" love. But S24:6 are singing about a love that won't hurt you, a lover that will never leave you, the best love anyone, male or female, could have." "Believe me, we are into hot clothes, choreographed shows, the works, but most importantly, we are ministering to people's souls. We want to prove that you don't have to look or be 'busted' or 'wack' to sing gospel music or be saved. You can look like "all that" and be an ambassador for Christ.
